Job summary

CMTA, a Legence Company, in Media, PA, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead performance contracting projects and educate clients on energy-saving strategies. You will direct engineering teams from scope definition to closeout and build lasting client relationships.

You will supervise site assessments, energy analyses, and drawings, collaborating with CMTA and Legence to deliver high-impact, sustainable building solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in energy services/consulting or related fields.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building systems and energy conservation.
• Experience leading client-facing engineering projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client contact through all project phases.
• Educate clients on energy performance contracting and efficiency opportunities.
• Communicate CMTA's value including technical, operational, and financial benefits.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business.
• Lead business development activities including client meetings and proposals.
• Lead facility assessments, site visits, audits, and energy analyses.
• Oversee energy calculations, engineering evaluations, and project development.
• Direct engineering teams in drawings, specs, and deliverables.
• Lead bidding and procurement to ensure quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients to finalize scope and performance contracts.
• Partner with construction managers for project execution.
• Lead commissioning activities to validate performance.
• Support clients through closeout and warranty periods.
• Collaborate on M&V reports and state-specific procurement processes.
