Job summary

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its Boston, Framingham, and Waltham offices. You will lead the mechanical design of energy-efficient buildings, collaborate with clients, and guide staff through complex HVAC and plumbing projects.

You should have 10+ years in consulting engineering, EIT or PE, and strong experience with MEP design, Revit, and AutoCAD. This role emphasizes project management and client interfacing across multiple office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• EIT or PE certification is preferred.
• Experience with energy-efficient design and MEP design is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated responses.
• Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
• Provide guidance on energy-efficient designs across projects.
• Review subcontractor submittals for conformance with contract documents.
• Apply standard engineering techniques to assigned tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and staff to implement operating procedures and resolve issues.
• Research and analyze design proposals to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
• Specify system components or modify products to meet design specifications.
• Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.
• Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
