Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Moorestown, NJ is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to head the electro‑mechanical packaging for advanced radar and airborne systems. You will guide cross‑functional teams across Systems, Electrical, Drafting, Operations, and Manufacturing to define packaging strategies and ensure robust, producible designs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 9+ years of experience, and proficiency with 3D CAD (SolidWorks or Creo).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 9 years professional experience.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo. Creo Preferred.
Designing electronics for military environments.
PWB/CCA and electronics packaging experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD clearance at the SECRET level. U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Lead development of electro‑mechanical packaging architectures for radars and airborne systems.
Coordinate multi‑disciplinary efforts with Systems, Electrical, Drafting, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of packaging technologies and guide design reviews.
Engage suppliers and direct lab and test facility activities.
