We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Electronics Packaging & Analysis group in the Sensor Mechanical Design Center. In this role, the selected candidate will serve as the technical lead for the development of electro‑mechanical packaging architectures and detailed designs for elements of large‑scale radars and airborne systems. The candidate will lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary efforts, interfacing with Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to define packaging strategies, drive trade studies, and ensure robust, producible designs.
This Lead Mechancial Engineer will provide technical leadership in advanced microelectronics and packaging technologies in support of low‑SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) solutions to meet Lockheed Martin sensor and mission needs. The selected candidate will own and guide the end‑to‑end lifecycle of these technologies, working closely with cross‑functional teams on design, development, integration, test, and requirements verification. Responsibilities include leading the creation and approval of technical data packages, planning and conducting design reviews, engaging and technically guiding suppliers, and directing lab and test facility activities.
