Job summary

RTX Corporation's McKinney, TX site is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Airborne & Ground Optics Department. This onsite role covers the mechanical design process from concept to model/drawing completion for hardware supporting product builds, with collaboration from chief engineers and product engineers.

The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; experience with CREO or SolidWorks is preferred, and hands-on problem-solving is valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Utilize RTX tools including CREO modeling software and Product Data Management (PDM).
• Design and documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS Office suite.
• Execute engineering change and drawing release processes.
• Engage in analytical and technical engineering work within a program environment with possible design presentations.
• Train on Raytheon processes and procedures.
• Collaborate on building hardware in a lab environment.
