Job summary

Raytheon McKinney, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and document electro‑mechanical assemblies on site. You will coordinate with IPTL, PM, Supply Chain, and external suppliers to meet production goals and ensure robust hardware integration.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering (ABET) with 5+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years. DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited university with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience supporting production of electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with Creo Parametric or other mechanical CAD tools.
• Experience working with internal and/or external suppliers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with program leadership to ensure production goals are met.
• Work within a multi-disciplined team covering aerostructure design, housing, electronics packaging, and thermal management.
• Coordinate with IPTL, PM, Supply Chain, and external personnel.
• Travel to external suppliers and Raytheon facilities as needed (typically up to 20%).
• Apply GD&T principles in design documentation and fabrication.
• Travel related to suppliers and facilities as needed, generally not exceeding 20%.
