Job summary

Raytheon in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Team in MA. This onsite role requires a strong background in mechanical design, system integration, and program execution to deliver defense platform components and subsystems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, lead design reviews, and ensure solutions meet stringent government and customer requirements while supporting production and field deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience across full product lifecycle from concept to production and support.
• Experience in mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, or related areas.
• Experience with CAD tools and product data management (PDM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document components and major end items for defense systems.
• Serve as technical focal point on small mechanical or cross-functional IPTs.
• Provide support for product integration at domestic and international locations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and design solutions.
• Independently manage tasks and deliver on schedule, budget, and technical goals.
• Participate in design reviews and trade studies to support informed decisions.
• Apply expertise in mechanical problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
