Pratt & Whitney in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Air Defense Ground Equipment team. You will design, develop, and document components and major end items for defense systems, and serve as the technical focal point within an IPT.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree with 3+ years), CAD skills (Creo) and Windchill PDM, and familiarity with GD&T and manufacturing processes. On-site work in Tewksbury/Andover, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle from concept to production and support.
• Familiarity with mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, or related areas; CAD/PDM experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense systems.
• Serve as the technical focal point on small mechanical or cross-functional teams within an IPT.
• Provide support for product integration at domestic and international locations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and develop design solutions.
• Independently manage tasks and deliver on schedule, budget, and goals.
• Participate in design reviews and conduct trade studies.
