Job summary

Canvas is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide advisory and engineering support to AEDC at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on requirement development, procurement support, design reviews, and technical evaluation across capital projects.

You will develop technical requirements, write and review SOOs/SOWs, assist in vendor evaluations, and support the Systems Engineering process while collaborating with project teams to deliver timely, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• BS in Science or Engineering field or equivalent experience.
• MS degree preferred; substitutions available as described.
• 3–10 years of experience (Senior/Scientist and Engineer levels).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and engineering support across capital improvement projects and procurements.
• Develop and review Technical Requirement Documents.
• Provide mechanical design, systems, and operations experience.
• Assist in procurement documentation and evaluation of proposals.
• Support Systems Engineering Process and design reviews.
