Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB. This full-time role involves leading a small team, performing requirements analyses, and delivering life-cycle support for complex IT and communications infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in systems engineering, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and must be able to obtain Security+ CE certification with a path toward a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience in systems engineering and integration.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is highly desirable.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Security+ CE certification.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering efforts for communications/IT and related specialties.
• Lead a small team of project managers, junior design engineers and drafters.
• Provide engineering reviews and develop solutions for design, integration, testing, and life-cycle support.
• Perform requirements analyses and conceptual designs.
• Survey, evaluate, and provide technical oversight of existing infrastructures and environment.
• Provide an implementation plan reflecting strategy, schedule, and configuration for site IT improvements.
• Work with senior engineers to design, install, document, and test custom solutions.
