Prime Data Centers, a leading owner-operator of mission-critical facilities, seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical engineering for data center projects, including new builds, expansions, retrofits, and equipment standards development.

You will collaborate with VP of Engineering and partners, review calculations, and support design delivery from concept through construction while ensuring reliability and ROI. Strong CAD/analysis skills and data center familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• FE exam passed or Engineer In Training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mission critical or data center mechanical design/construction.
• Understanding of critical cooling infrastructure and redundancy.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Teams, Excel, Word; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Psychrometrics, CFD.
• Knowledge of IBC/IMC and data center standards (ASHRAE, BICSI).

Responsabilités

• Supports innovation with the VP of Engineering and stakeholders, evaluating new products and how to integrate them into standards.
• Collaborates with Operations to align design standards with requirements and best practices.
• Reviews design calculations, performs independent cost analyses, and verifies bids.
• Provides owner reviews of design/construction deliverables: drawings, specs, submittals, RFIs, coordination.
• Researches new designs, materials, and methods for data center MEFP systems and related components.
• Conducts value engineering analyses and ROI/payback assessments with cost estimators.
• Participates in IAS/DSC-related reviews and on-site commissioning as needed.
• Attends virtual or on-site meetings with design consultants and partners.
