Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join a global data center engineering team.

You will own the design of mechanical systems and drive cost-effective, high-uptime solutions for AWS infrastructure. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and network engineers, suppliers, and contractors to deliver multi-million-dollar data center projects with world-class reliability and scalable performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cross-disciplinary setting influencing and driving others.
• Advises peer engineers and management team.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop integrated systems extending data center infrastructure.
• Simplify and lower costs of data center mechanical components.
• Collaborate with internal and external ecosystem partners on data center products.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the year.
