Prime Data Centers in the United States is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design efforts across data center projects, including new construction, phased expansions, retrofits and upgrades.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will develop design standards, review calculations, perform cost analyses, and coordinate with design partners and equipment suppliers to meet project goals. Responsibilities include CFD, energy modeling, PUE analysis, IAS/BAS/DCIM interfaces, and

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; FE exam passed or EIT preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mission critical and/or data center mechanical design and construction.
• Understanding of critical cooling infrastructure and redundancy in data centers.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Psychrometric analysis, Load/Energy calculations, CFD analysis.
• Familiarity with IBC/IMC and data center standards (ASHRAE TC9.9, BICSI).

Responsabilités

• Supports innovation and collaboration with VP of Engineering and stakeholders.
• Reviews and supports master planning, design, bid levelling, and cost analyses.
• Reviews consultants' calculations and owner review of design and construction deliverables.
• Researches new designs, materials, and construction methods for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Performs PUE, energy modeling, CFD, hydraulic calculations, and ROI analyses as needed.
