Job summary

DLR Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer specializing in mission-critical projects to design and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for data centers and related facilities. You will collaborate with architects, other engineers, and clients, creating and coordinating documents in Revit MEP and performing code-based calculations.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, 10+ years in MEP or integrated design, and 5+ years focused on data centers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in an MEP or integrated design firm working on commercial/public projects, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients as part of an integrated design process.
• Create and coordinate documents using Revit.
• Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations including code research.
• Perform plumbing/fire protection calculations including code research.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site visits when needed.
• Manage mechanical or interdisciplinary project teams.
