Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Mission Critical Mechanical Design Leader to guide the mechanical systems design for critical facilities and to lead a dedicated engineering team through construction documentation using Revit MEP. The role involves scheduling, coordination with other disciplines, and ensuring profitable project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• 15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering including HVAC, central utility plants, plumbing and fire suppression.
• 5+ years of data center design experience.
• Proficiency with BIM workflows (Autodesk Revit MEP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading teams of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mechanical systems for buildings within the Mission Critical space.
• Lead a mechanical engineering team to produce construction documents using Revit and manage project schedules.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated building designs.
• Coordinate personnel, vendors, and consultants to meet project goals.
• Support business development through RFPs, interviews, and industry outreach.
