Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer focused on mission critical projects, including data centers, labs and clean rooms. The role emphasizes design, coordination, and implementation of mechanical systems within high-performance facilities.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, develop scalable HVAC and cooling solutions, and ensure reliability and redundancy requirements are met. Strong BIM and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 10+ years in a MEP or integrated design firm for commercial/public projects.
• 5+ years of data-center design experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients in an integrated design process.
• Create and coordinate documents using Revit.
• Perform mechanical/HVAC calculations and code research.
• Perform plumbing/fire protection calculations and code research.
• Write and review specifications.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals.
• Conduct site visits when needed.
• Manage mechanical or interdisciplinary project teams.
