Job summary

Acloché LLC in the Boston area seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for large projects, focusing on central plant and campus energy systems. The role is hybrid with travel to client sites as needed.

You will design heating and cooling plants, develop energy models, run load calculations, and craft control sequences while guiding project teams and coordinating with architects, owners, utilities, and contractors to deliver sustainable, high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering required.
• 7+ years designing HVAC for institutional/commercial buildings.
• Experience leading project teams.
• Strong central plant or energy modeling experience.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from feasibility through construction administration.
• Design heating, cooling plants and distribution systems.
• Model loads and energy use; compare options by life-cycle cost.
• Write control sequences and BAS strategies.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, utilities, and contractors.
• Present project updates in client reviews.
