Job summary

WSP USA in Atlanta seeks a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the Property and Buildings Team. You will assist with due diligence, design, development, installation, operation, and testing of mechanical systems on infrastructure and building projects.

You will collect site data, perform analyses, and prepare reports to support design decisions, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of relevant post-education experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification required.
• Experience with building/infrastructure planning and design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, compile, and analyze data from sites, surveys, blueprints, schematics, and reports for project development and construction.
• Perform professional mechanical engineering work, research, and inspections of site conditions and mechanical systems to ensure conformance with standards.
• Incorporate advanced modeling techniques, load calculations, and operating strategies for proper installation and functioning of equipment.
• Prepare technical reports and drawings to support design and construction issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project work adheres to specifications and regulatory requirements.
