Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Mechanical Engineer to provide multi-site due diligence, design, development, testing, and inspection of mechanical systems for infrastructure projects. You will research, plan, install, operate, and integrate HVAC, hydronic, and plumbing systems while ensuring safety and quality standards.

You will prepare calculations and drawings, coordinate with architects and managers, and contribute to client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline is required.
• 5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior buildings mechanical design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Set deadlines and assigns responsibilities.
• Examine field conditions to support development and completion of projects.
• Design mechanical systems including heating/cooling load calculations per QA/QC processes.
• Select and layout mechanical equipment (pumps, chiller, fans, boilers).
• Develop project specifications.
• Attend meetings with architects, owners, and building managers.
• Assist in business development and client presentations.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Demonstrate ownership to meet client goals and project objectives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and certifications.
