Job summary

WSP USA’s kW Mission Critical Engineering in Atlanta GA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design complex cooling and HVAC systems for mission critical facilities, including air distribution and chiller plants. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients and vendors, mentor junior engineers, and ensure drawings and specifications are issued for construction.

Qualifications include a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
5+ years designing mechanical systems for high-performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings.
Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork and written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with software including AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and PipeFlow.
Knowledge of building, mechanical and energy codes.
Proven safety track record and adherence to health, safety, and harassment policies.
Ability to travel as required by project needs.

Responsibilities

Independently support the project team during design and construction stages.
Design air distribution, hydronic and automated temperature controls systems.
Integrate complex mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs.
Develop drawings and specifications for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
