Job summary

RTX Tucson is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for the ALE group onsite to drive design, validation, and production support across mechanical subsystems for defense equipment. You will own technical tasks, model and analyze requirements, and collaborate with factories and suppliers.

You will mentor junior engineers, review tolerances, and apply DFMA/DFP principles. A STEM degree with 5+ years (or advanced degree with 3 years) and Creo/Windchill experience are required; U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• GD&T and tolerance analysis experience.
• CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D modeling experience.
• Willingness to travel to government and supplier sites.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership and execution of tasks, acting as prime technical contact for mechanical subsystems.
• Model, document, and analyze the TDP and its compliance with requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance within mechanical discipline.
• Lead small teams and collaborate across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for defense equipment.
