Job summary

RTX’s Tucson, AZ site is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and document components for tactical missile systems. You will lead mechanical engineering teams, collaborate with structural/thermal, materials, quality, safety, and supply chain, and support production and suppliers globally.

The role requires strong CAD skills (CREO/Pro-E), GD&T proficiency, and a background in mechanical design and data packages. Domestic and international travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Experience with CREO/Pro/E or similar 3D modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies for missile systems.
• Lead mechanical engineering teams and collaborate across disciplines.
• Support factory and suppliers with product development, obsolescence, troubleshooting, and production.
• Interface with other engineering and non-technical disciplines to develop design solutions.
