Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and validation of advanced HVAC components, with emphasis on airflow, fans, and motors. You will drive cross-functional efforts across engineering, design, and lab teams to deliver high-performance, compliant solutions.

The role requires strong fundamentals in airflow, heat transfer, and thermal performance, plus leadership of technical projects from concept to validation, in a collaborative, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years leading technical design projects, validation testing, and RCA.
• Experience with fans, motors, and air-movement systems plus design specs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and sustain unitary HVAC products focusing on fans and air-movement systems.
• Apply airflow, heat transfer, and thermal performance to evaluate feasibility and optimize subsystems.
• Develop test plans, analyze data, and support product validation for quality and reliability.
• Collaborate across design, test, and cross-functional teams and ensure standards compliance.
