RTX in Tucson, Arizona seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Advanced Airframes Department onsite. You will lead mechanical design efforts for aerospace mechanisms and structures, optimize designs to meet performance requirements, develop prototypes, manage suppliers, and support testing to ensure aerospace standards.

A STEM degree with 5+ years of mechanical design experience is required, plus proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo) and GD&T.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with at least 5 years of experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years.
• Experience in mechanical design and/or manufacturing processes.
• Experience creating, releasing, and updating engineering drawings using a 3D CAD tool.
• Experience with GD&T and interpreting drawing practices for mechanical hardware.

Responsabilités

• Lead design efforts for aerospace mechanisms and structures.
• Develop, optimize, and test mechanical designs to meet performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams for integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and support design reviews.
