American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking an experienced advanced engineer to lead complex projects, applying extensive engineering knowledge to achieve safe, efficient, and economical outcomes.

The role emphasizes leadership, planning, problem solving, and stakeholder communication across internal teams and external bodies to drive long-range, system-wide improvements. Tulsa, OK location; full-time employment.

Formación

• 8+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering ABET-accredited.
• Or 6 years of related engineering experience with a Master’s or PhD in ABET-accredited engineering.
• PE license preferred; alternative paths described if PE is waived.

Responsabilidades

• Perform advanced engineering work activities and projects safely and efficiently.
• Serve as a technical resource in areas such as system production, control systems, and plant operations.
• Lead and coordinate work across groups, and manage assigned tasks.
• Develop and implement plans including scheduling, resources, and costs for complex problems.
• Present complex technical topics to senior management and external bodies.
• Build networks across the company, regulatory agencies, and academia.
• Make long-range technical decisions based on analysis of uncertain input and outcomes.
