Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a designer to support spacecraft avionics and harness designs and to release CAD data. The role focuses on the Transfer Stage within the Lunar Permanence unit, collaborating with engineers to ensure high-quality design and manufacturing data.

You will develop parts, assemblies, and harness routes in Creo, interface with subsystem teams, and contribute to safe, reliable spaceflight through rigorous design practices and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Knowledge of avionics components and harness routing in Creo.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies and BOMs.
• Experience cross-functionally selecting materials and processes for engineered products.

Responsibilities

• Preparing design layouts, creating detail parts, assemblies, and installation models and releasing data sets using CAD/PLM tools.
• Applying standard design techniques to plan, layout, and maintain data depicting engineering designs.
• Interface with vehicle subsystem teams to route harnessing in the model.
• Reviewing drawings to ensure alignment with specs and standards.
• Implementing engineering and manufacturing methods to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
