Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Energy and Resources team, developing mechanical models and documents for mining projects. The role involves 3D and 2D design in Revit, Plant 3D, Inventor, and other Autodesk tools, with collaboration across engineers and project managers.

We value experience in industrial/mining environments, BIM360/Forma knowledge, and the ability to lead design reviews while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering design packages.
• Associates degree or certificate from an accredited drafting program preferred.
• REVIT education or experience required; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and document mechanical deliverables and complete design packages.
• Produce deliverables as required, individually or as part of a team.
• Lead model and drawing review meetings with internal and client teams.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on projects.
• Provide material estimates to support procurement and estimating efforts.
