Job summary

Stantec’s Energy and Resources team is hiring a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our growing team—open to all locations in the United States. You will develop and coordinate mechanical models and documents for mining facilities, communicating across disciplines and with clients.

You will lead 3D and 2D design efforts, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver complete design packages for surface and underground infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering design packages.
• REVIT education or experience is required; certifications are a plus.
• Proficient in BIM software and 3D modeling for mine facilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design and documentation packages for projects.
• Produce 3D models and 2D drawings (Revit, Plant 3D, Inventor, Navisworks).
• Lead design tasks and mentor junior designers.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers and mining specialists.
• Support procurement with material estimates and design reviews.
