Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Designer to join the Energy and Resources Design team. You will lead a team of designers on diverse projects from studies to detailed engineering and construction support in North America and globally.

Qualifications

• Extensive design/drafting education with focus on structural engineering.
• Strong proficiency with BIM tools and software suites.
• Experience in industrial or energy & resources sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform modeling, drafting, checking and structural design tasks for a wide variety of projects.
• Lead a team of designers to complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality design deliverables.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to professional development.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines and attend project meetings.
• Travel to local project sites as needed.
