Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering in Los Alamos, NM is seeking an Engineering Technologist 3. The role focuses on checking design definitions using Creo 3D CAD, GD&T and MBD, ensuring form, fit and function meet program requirements for the W93 system development.

You will mentor staff, lead design reviews, and work with teams across NSE and DoD/NNSA partners, applying ASME Y14.5-2009 and Y14.41 MBd standards, while guiding producibility and configuration management throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Science, Math or related field and 8 years of related experience.
• Advanced understanding of Mechanical CAD, CAD design, manufacturing, inspection, assembly and testing.
• Experience checking Creo models and drawings for form, fit, function and MBD; tolerance and stack analyses.

Responsibilities

• Check Creo models and drawings for form, fit, and function and for MBD.
• Lead design reviews for design, manufacture, assembly, and tests.
• Mentor junior staff on models-based definition (MBD) and GD&T.
