Job summary

Banda Group International (BGI) is seeking an Engineering Technologist 3 to verify and validate engineering design definitions for Navy missile warhead systems. The role emphasizes Creo 3D CAD, MBD, GD&T, and GD&T stack-up analyses to ensure manufacturability and compliance.

On-site in Los Alamos, NM, the position requires collaborating with engineers, scientists, and technicians to resolve complex problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical CAD and engineering principles.
• Experience checking 3D CAD models and drawings, and working with MBD.
• Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5/Y14.41 standards.
• Experience with fabrication, inspection, assembly, and testing processes.
• Understanding of configuration management and release workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to independently resolve complex technical problems and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review Creo 3D CAD models and drawings for form, fit, function, and design intent.
• Evaluate MBD and GD&T, including tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Verify manufacturability, inspection, assembly, and testing requirements.
• Identify design defects and develop solutions to complex problems.
• Support configuration management for review, release, and distribution of models and specs.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with multidisciplinary teams.
• Recommend improvements to design standards and MBD processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Manage multiple assignments independently to meet customer and project needs.
