Job summary

RTX in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for the Shipboard Effectors group to lead cross-functional engineering activities in support of missile sub-sections and All Up Round production on-site. A STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience is required, along with GD&T proficiency and CAD/Creo/Windchill skills.

Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with relevant engineering experience.
• GD&T experience per ANSI Y14.5 is required.
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools and analysis software.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage product vision, strategy, and goals for multiple contracts.
• Lead a multi-discipline engineering team in hardware production, testing, and delivery.
• Ensure technical integrity and engineering execution across IPTs to meet cost, schedule, and requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in production and participate in failure analysis and corrective actions.
