Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing partner, seeks a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to helm advanced liquid cooling and thermal management designs. You will guide prototypes, verify performance, and manage external suppliers while mentoring engineers across dispersed teams.

The role demands strong leadership, deep thermal-fluid knowledge, and a track record of delivering production-ready solutions, including cross-functional reviews and patentable ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering; MS/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years in mechanical design and/or verification.
• Design liquid cooling, thermal management, heat exchangers and related components.
• Strong thermal design and system-level optimization.
• Lead product development from concept to production.
• Prior people management experience preferred; remote team experience valued.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD, FEA, tolerances, manufacturing principles.
• Understanding of thermal technologies and heat exchanger design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with system architects to define mechanical/thermal architecture.
• Lead the mechanical/thermal design of liquid cooling and heat exchangers.
• Assemble prototypes and verify form/fit/function.
• Manage external suppliers and input to roadmaps.
• Communicate technical aspects to internal/external customers.
• Mentor engineers and lead cross-functional reviews.
