Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to drive advanced liquid cooling and thermal management solutions for data center and semiconductor equipment. You will lead cross-functional teams, define architectures, and ensure milestones are met while guiding other engineers through design reviews.

The role offers remote or onsite options in the US, with relocation support for onsite candidates. Strong leadership and communications are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; MSME/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of mechanical design and verification experience; releasing products to production.
• Experience designing liquid cooling systems, thermal management solutions, heat exchangers, and related components.
• Strong thermal design and analysis experience including heat transfer and fluid flow.
• Experience leading complex product development programs and remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with system architects to review design requirements and define mechanical/thermal architecture.
• Lead mechanical and thermal design of liquid cooling and heat exchanger products.
• Assemble prototypes and verify form/fit/function.
• Manage external suppliers and input to product roadmaps.
• Communicate technical aspects to internal and external customers.
• Define design innovations and patentable solutions.
• Lead resolution of complex design issues and trade-offs.
• Mentor engineers and supervise mechanical layouts.
