Job summary

Molex is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Thermal Engineer to develop state-of-the-art liquid cooling systems and sealing solutions, moving concepts from design to production. You will lead thermal and mechanical design, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure product reliability and scalability.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, FEA, and collaboration with global teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions for high-speed IO systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in thermal and mechanical design.
• Proficiency with CAD software (NX/Creo/SolidWorks).
• Experience with manufacturing processes (CNC, stamping, molding).
• Ability to develop test requirements and review thermal/reliability reports.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis for manufacturability and quality control.
• Experience with tolerance stack-up analysis and working with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced liquid cooling solutions (cold plates, tubing, manifolds).
• Lead product development from concept to mass production.
• Create design specifications and validation plans for thermal/mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (thermal, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing).
• Develop DFX strategies to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the product lifecycle.
