Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the engineering of custom process equipment. You will design skid-based, modular and containerized systems in 2D and 3D, back them with calculations, and drive them from concept to a validated, buildable design.

You will collaborate with clients, balance performance with manufacturability and cost, and ensure designs meet ASME and company standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in process equipment or industrial systems.
• Advanced proficiency with 3D/2D modelling in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with engineering calculations, sizing and selection of equipment.
• Familiar with ASME codes such as B31.3 and Section VIII.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of industrial process systems from requirements to release.
• Model SolidWorks parts, assemblies, weldments and sheet metal; manage AutoCAD layouts.
• Develop general arrangements, layouts, drawings and BOMs.
• Define technical requirements and design bases with clients and team.
• Perform calculations; size pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, tanks, valves and drives.
• Run FEA/structural/thermal/pipe stress analyses and ensure ASME compliance.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior designers and engineers.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Support proposals, estimates, and project planning.
