Central States Industrial (CSI) is seeking a Designer 2 – Skids to design and develop custom skidded process equipment from concept to fabrication. You will create 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and documentation for complex skid assemblies integrating structural, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and electrical components.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Design or related field preferred; bachelor's degree a plus.
• Minimum of four years using Autodesk Inventor for mechanical design and 3D modeling.
• Minimum of two years using Autodesk Vault Professional for document management and revision control.
• Experience designing custom mechanical equipment, skids, or integrated systems.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and documentation for skidded equipment.
• Independently manage multiple skid design projects from concept through fabrication release.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, manufacturing, and customers to resolve design challenges.
• Apply fabrication methods, mechanical/electrical/instrumentation integration, and industry codes to optimize safety and cost.
• Maintain BOMs and engineering records; support cross-functional standardized design practices.
• Mentor Designer 1, review work, and contribute to onboarding and development.
