Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing in Rochester and Rush, NY is seeking an experienced designer to turn complex process and mechanical challenges into buildable solutions. You will work on skid-based and modular systems from concept through detailing and release, applying sound judgment and collaborating with senior team members.

This role requires 5+ years in industrial design, proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and a hands-on approach to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of process and/or mechanical design experience in industrial/engineering-services environment.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks.
• Strong communication, organization, and ability to work independently and with others.
• AS and/or BS in Drafting/Build, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial process and mechanical systems from concept through detailed design and release.
• Solve moderately complex technical problems using sound engineering judgment.
• Develop and review deliverables including requirements documents, general arrangement drawings, equipment layouts, and piping layouts and details.
• Perform simulation, analysis, and validation of components and integrated systems.
• Support proposal and estimating activities and participate in design reviews.
• Coordinate with fabrication teams and field service for a smooth handoff to build and deployment.
• Support continuous improvement of design processes, tools, and standards.
