Workforce Recruiter, on behalf of a client that manufactures temperature sensors, precision fittings, and cable assemblies, seeks a Senior Product Design Engineer in Buffalo, NY. You will design and develop precision products from concept through production release, collaborating with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions.

This hands-on role combines mechanical design, analysis, prototype evaluation, and design verification, with emphasis on temperature and pressure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ECR.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, interfaces, and verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work and collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into product specs and designs.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and docs.
• Perform calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, risk assessments.
• Design components considering temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, manufacturability.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate results, refine designs.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve issues with teams.
• Support NPI, ECOs, and troubleshooting in production or field.
• Provide technical guidance and improve reusable design practices.
