Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is assisting a client in Buffalo, NY to hire a Senior Product Design Engineer. You will design and develop precision products and custom assemblies from concept through production release.

The role combines hands-on mechanical design, engineering analysis, prototype evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and support design reviews.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and ECOs.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work and collaborate across functions.

Responsabilidades

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability considerations.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
