Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer — Mechanical Systems in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead design and analysis of gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems for propulsion and power systems within Honeywell Engines and Power Systems.

You will apply design, physics, and software methods to drive testing, improve design fidelity, mentor junior engineers, and help deliver robust mechanical solutions for aerospace applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in mechanical design and analysis of aerospace components.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Mechanical Systems including gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform design & analysis tasks for bearings, gears or lubrication systems in engines and power system applications.
• Execute life, fit and clearance analyses for bearings and gears; determine component configurations for turbine engines and motor/generator applications.
• Generate documentation of results after design, simulation, analysis, and tests; support testing and data analysis across lifecycle stages.
• Lead activities related to Mechanical Systems design and analysis; coordinate 1–2 contributors and provide technical oversight.
