Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to design, simulate, analyze and test fans and compressors for turbomachinery in gas turbine engines. You will work on hybrid schedule reporting to Engineering Manager.

You will apply design principles, physics and software development to a broad range of engineering tasks, support fielded products, and contribute to continuous improvement of methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 7+ years in mechanical design and turbomachinery analysis.
• 7+ years with commercial FEA software (ANSYS APDL/Mechanical, Simcenter NASTRAN).

Responsibilities

• Design rotating and static turbomachinery components such as rotors and impellers.
• Perform modal, vibration, deflection, fatigue and thermal analyses using FEA.
• Support testing across lifecycle stages and analyze test data.
• Document results and present findings in design reviews.
• Mentor teammates and drive process improvements.
