Honeywell Aerospace US LLC is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead mechanical design for gas turbine engines, using NX CAD and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance solutions.

The role involves design through certification, weight optimization, and manufacturability considerations, with a hybrid work model and onsite start. Mentoring responsibilities and cross‑functional collaboration are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (science, technology, engineering or mathematics)
• 5+ years of experience using CAD tools for mechanical design
• 2+ years of experience with Gas Turbine Engines and turbomachinery components
• Experience with Gas Turbine Engines, Fan, Compressor, etc.
• Understanding of ASME Y14.100 and GD&T (Y14.5) in design and drawings
• Experience performing tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and interfaces

Responsibilities

• Imagine, design, develop and optimize gas turbine engines for performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in all product development phases from concept to production support.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices within the team.
• Design using NX-based CAD modeling and perform engineering analyses.
• Cost estimation and design for manufacturing considerations.
