Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks an Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the mechanical design of gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems for engines and power systems. You will guide testing, analysis, and documentation across lifecycle stages and mentor junior staff.

Requires a Bachelor’s in engineering with 6+ years in aerospace design/analysis and experience with bearings, gears, and lubrication. Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 remote after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• MS or PhD in aerospace/mechanical engineering desired.
• Minimum 6 years in mechanical design/analysis of aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of bearings for engines and power systems.
• Conduct life, fit, and clearance analyses for bearings.
• Coordinate design activities and mentor junior engineers.
• Prepare engineering artifacts and present at reviews.
