Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ, seeks an Sr Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to drive design and analysis of mechanical systems for engines and power systems. You will shape bearings, gears, and lubrication solutions across turbofan, turboshaft, and APU platforms, guiding tests and mentor junior staff.

You will coordinate 1-2 contributors, ensure program requirements, and present engineering artifacts for technical reviews, with a hybrid work pattern after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in mechanical design and analysis of aerospace components.
• Minimum 3 years' experience working with Mechanical Systems including gears, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis tasks for bearings, gears or lubrication systems within engines and power systems.
• Execute life, fit and clearance analyses for bearings and gears.
• Determine appropriate component configuration for turbine engine and motor/generator applications.
• Generate documentation capturing engineering results and findings following design, simulation, analysis, and test activities.
• Lead proposal activities supporting various commercial and military customers.
