Job summary

Tulsa County is seeking a Building Systems Supervisor to oversee HVAC maintenance, energy management and related building operations across county facilities. The role includes supervising up to seven mechanics, reviewing work orders, and coordinating with accounting on attendance and scheduling.

The ideal candidate has strong HVAC troubleshooting, knowledge of energy management systems, and the ability to read plans and specs, ensuring code compliance and safe operation of all systems.

Qualifications

• HVAC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair and maintenance skills
• Knowledge of energy management systems and HVAC controls
• Ability to supervise others and coordinate multiple activities
• Ability to read blueprints, plans and manufacturer specs and estimate costs

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate HVAC maintenance of Tulsa County buildings
• Maintain attendance records and coordinate scheduling with accounting
• Review and assign work orders by priority and skill level
• Inspect building systems for conformance with codes and safety measures
• Operate and monitor energy management systems to reduce operating costs

Education

High school diploma or GED; plus one year certificate from a college or technical school
