Job summary

Texas Southern University in Houston seeks an experienced HVAC Supervisor to oversee skilled maintenance and repair of the campus HVAC systems under general supervision. You will maintain parts records and train staff, while reviewing time records and inspecting work in progress.

You will coordinate HVAC, plumbing, and building automation work with outside contractors, review quotes and invoicing, and maintain the center plant including chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.

Qualifications

• Some college or Associate degree and/or vocational or technical school and/or specialized training or certification preferred.
• Eight to ten years of related experience.
• Registered AC & Refrigeration Technician License
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional, TMA (Work Request system) or similar applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate in skilled HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Maintain records of parts and materials.
• Evaluate and train subordinate personnel; review employee time records; inspect work in progress; and upon completion.
• Coordinate all HVAC, plumbing, and building automation work with outside contractors; review quotes and invoicing.
