Job summary

Senior Coastsiders is seeking a Kitchen and Volunteer Coordinator to support daily kitchen operations, meal prep, and volunteer coordination for Home Delivered Meals and congregate dining in the Coastside area.

The role includes assisting the Kitchen Manager and Chef, recruiting volunteers, and stepping in as a substitute when coverage is needed. Requires Food Handler certification (or obtained within 30/60 days) and comfort working with older adults.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, food service, or volunteer coordination preferred.
• Food Handler certification required (or obtained within 30/60 days).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with volunteers and older adults.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations and meal logistics.
• Assist in food preparation, portioning, and packing for Home Delivered Meals and dining.
• Train volunteers on procedures, safety, and expectations.
• Coordinate volunteer scheduling and kitchen recordkeeping.
• Provide coverage for volunteers when needed.
