Job summary

Serving Seniors in San Diego, CA is seeking a Nutrition Site Coordinator to manage daily dining room and kitchen operations and maintain strong community relations with the Food Service Director. You will coordinate meal service, donations, and menus while supporting outreach efforts and compliance with policies.

The role requires hands-on supervision, strong communication, and a focus on compassionate service for seniors. Onsite work with holidays/ weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior customer service with needs identification and follow-up.
• Ability to develop professional, cooperative relationships with participants, families, staff and volunteers.
• Ability to motivate and lead teams.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to food service.
• Must have a valid CA Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dining room and kitchen operations.
• Liaise with all food service vendors.
• Oversee collection of daily meal donations.
• Provide accurate daily and weekly counts of clients served.
• Greet and assist seniors, guests, and volunteers in dining area.
• Distribute monthly menus.
• Support outreach to promote program services.
• Report Elder Abuse to Adult Protective Services as required.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
