The Masons of California is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to manage MDS assessments, care planning, ARD scheduling, and billing coordination for SNF residents. You will ensure OBRA compliance, maximize reimbursement, and lead IDT and PPS processes while maintaining timely MDS submissions and staff education across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current California RN license.
• Experience with MDS/RAI in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Certification in Resident Assessment Instrument preferred; must be certified within six months of hire.
• Knowledge of Medicare rules and reimbursement principles.

Responsabilités

• Assist in pre-admission assessment to determine coverage level for SNF stay.
• Collaborate with business office on billing requirements.
• Lead PPS meetings with therapy and units to ensure goals and reimbursement.
• Coordinate IDT dates for Medicare coverage and termination notifications.
• Track certifications/recertifications in a timely manner.
• Monitor regulatory compliance for MDS/RAI processes.
• Attend IDT, care plan, and discharge meetings.
• Set ARD dates and complete MDS sections within deadlines.
• Transmit MDS within CMS timelines.
